Meet your coach :: Meira Cohns
Welcome all. My name is Meira, once upon a time Kendall. I was raised in Portland, Oregon and had my second upbringing in Tallahassee, Florida, where I discovered my drive for life coaching.
I love the work that I do, teaching people how to show up for themselves in a way that truly nurtures and nourishes them, that helps them see their creative soul-utions as I guide them through their blocks.
I do this by combining my experience as a Mastery Method Certified coach, meditator, nanny, dance teacher and more, inviting you to bring love, light, and play into your depths.
I sit with you as you do both the breezy and the murky work, celebrating your wins and creating safe space for you to be in the depths.
I'm a silly pickleball player, singer, dancer and comedy enthusiast when I am not a life coach.

Life coaching is a collaborative process during which I help you build a life of authenticity and alignment in the very things that light you up. Sometimes, it's a matter of overcoming fear, attuning to joy and building a vision. Other times, you might know exactly what you want but seem to get hung up on something. Together, we discover and address whatever blocks you in a compassionate and nurturing manner.
I provide you with tools and a safe space to help you access and deepen your personal wisdom and the soul-utions inside of you. I also help you strategize and fill in the gaps, discover or point out patterns and blocks, and hold you accountable to your dream.
I use my unique blend of tools to address whatever comes up as we move you toward your goals. I am certified in the Mastery Method and offer my personal experience including years of meditation, my gentleness, silliness, and perceptiveness to help you keep going, whatever it takes. Together, we address a triangle of change: Awareness, Acceptance, and Aligned Action. Most often, each session consists of work within each one of these, but in one-on-one work, the process is highly individualized and we address what is necessary.
The short answer is that no one needs coaching.
The long answer is that life coaching is like salad. You won't die without it, but you will most likely benefit from eating it. Life coaching helps people go from good to great, great to exceptional, or even passably struggling to generally calm. Are you making it through the day without coaching? Of course you are. You're resourceful and resilient. Would you benefit from having someone who walks the path to guide you along? When it's the right fit, absolutely.
You can seek a life coach at any step in the journey, whether you're clear in your vision or not. Ultimately, when to seek a coach is up to you. Some points to consider are how long you've struggled with this issue on your own, if you're ready to receive professional guidance, and if you feel some sense of connection or trust to the coach.
Great question. While some life coaches may operate by advising you on how to proceed, a trained life coach will help you see blind spots and give you the tools to arrive at the answer yourself, helping you build trust in your capacity to solve your own problems and build your personal dream.
At times when a friend prescribes advice, a life coach asks powerful questions to help you get unstuck, or guides you in an exercise that gives you new perspective and helps you meet your needs in new ways.
Advice from trusted friends has a time and place, but life coaching empowers you differently by unearthing the wisdom already inside of you.
Definitely not! While we may address your past as a way to move forward, I am not a trained therapist and am unable to work with you on anything that you cannot hold in your window of tolerance . Furthermore, life coaching is goal and action-oriented in a way traditional therapy is not.
Coaching is not having someone to do it for you or make your decisions. Ultimately, you are always responsible for implementing the tools that I offer. I can't be the one to achieve your dream, and I'd be doing you a disservice if I tried.
Coaching is not one-size-fits all. While some may see results in as little as five sessions, others may need three to six months to see lasting change. You come in with your own readiness and experiences that influence the process, so the coaching container adapts to the needs of the client.
Coaching is not a quick fix, but it is worth it.
